Do you have untapped wells?
Untapped wells represent potential, gifts, talents and resources that have not yet been discovered or employed for use. Wells are unable to spring forth water until you dig deep enough to tap into the source. In this same way, untapped potential and talent cannot come forth until one has dug deep enough to discover it. You will never know the depth of the potential you possess until you began to dig. Sometimes you may question how and where to begin?
There are many generational lineages that have forfeited potential because they didn’t go deep enough to discover it. This potential to succeed and tap into an area of talent can be passed from generation to generation. You possess the same gifts and talents as many of your ancestors and unfortunately for many reasons many of them allowed this potential to fall from one generation to the next. Or perhaps, they only tapped the surface of the potential to the point of discovery but it died down throughout the generations. Whatever the case may be, the potential is still there waiting to be maximized to its full potential because it lies within you! I want to encourage you today to began digging into your untapped wells.
There’s a 7 Step Process when it comes to digging and establishing a well! Let’s see how that coincides with tapping into our potential and developing a foundation for our vision.
Step 1: Pick the spot. What is an area of your life or business that has untapped potential? What is a dream or vision that you have had for your life or business that you have yet to pursue?
Step 2: Drill the well. Drilling the well is a two part process. It is also the point where it’s easy to get lost or quit altogether. In the drilling process, you must gather the data surrounding your vision and begin the planning process. The secret to not getting lost and giving up is focus. You have to set your sights on your vision and be determined to persevere until you reach the pinnacle of your vision. You have to begin now moving toward building your vision and the first simple step in getting started is gathering all the information you need surrounding your vision. Do the Research!! Then, my favorite part, step 2. Plan! Planning gives you the strategy of how to build your vision from the bottom up. Contrary to popular belief, the more time you spend digging deep into laying the foundation of your vision through planning, the more stable it will be once it comes into fruition.
Laying the foundation is the hardest part of vision building and this is where many get faint and weary and just give up in the process; but remember, the deeper you dig, the more solid your vision will be.
Step 3: Case the well. Casing prevents contamination. Laying a solid foundation for your vision will eliminate the capability of compromising your vision. Often times when the process of building becomes difficult, builder’s become more vulnerable and often look for ways to shorten the process of building. At this point, many will begin to consider forgoing the plan they put in place earlier. Keep in mind that your vision is not a hustle. It is a legacy and it is important that you secure it and keep it free of outside contamination. Yes, I know that your vision and your dream could set you up for financial success and gain, but this should not be the sole motivating factor in helping you to move forward in your vision. So even in times of uncertainty, it is imperative that you set boundaries to protect the integrity of your vision.
Step 4: Screen the well. Screening the well serves as another protection measure for the well. Developing a solid foundation for your business allows you to focus not only on the integrity of your business but the quality of service to your clientele. When these two things become the heartbeat of your vision, your foundation will be unshakable. The less likely will be to allow the words, opinions, or negative actions of others to devalue your vision.
Step 5: Grout the well. Grouting is an effective and necessary measure for the protection of public health and ground water quality. Taking the time to effectively build your vision not only protects you but those you serve. In the last few years, we have seen the morale, the climate of businesses, customer service, and people change. Situational circumstances should never reduce the quality of the service you provide to your clientele. Remember your wealth is measured by the amount of people you impact and not by a quick dollar your are able to make off of them. In building your vision, make sure your foundation is solid enough to endure situational and circumstantial storms that are inevitable to come against it.
Step 6: Clean and Develop the well. Cleaning and developing the well helps to clear away the residue from the drilling, casing, screening and grouting processes to ensure the well is able to yield more water. A well thought out, planned, and processed vision will yield profitable fruit and leave an impactful legacy!
Step 7: The Finishing Touches. Now that you have laid the right foundation and protected your vision from all sorts of contaminants, it is time to dust off the last bits of residue and present your finished product to the world! It is now time for that once untapped well to be utilized to water and nurture the lives of others.
Your vision begins with untapped potential. Once you identify the potential you possess, the only excuses you will have are the ones that YOU choose. Make a conscious decision this day to live without regrets and move forward to pursue the dreams, visions, and goals that are on the inside of you!
The time is now!
