A Woman of Purpose

Let’s talk about it.

Who is this Woman? A woman of purpose is one who has carefully considered her life, her responsibilities, and the work she has been purposed to do even while she’s still navigating the process of understanding it all.

A Woman of Purpose is simply one who tends to her Business! She focuses her time, effort, and attention on the responsibilities, treasures, and precious gifts that have been entrusted to her. She’s intentional concerning these things and pursues them with prayer, focus, dedication, and the work of her hands.

There has been a precedence of intimidation set that has redirected women from focusing inward to outward, causing many to believe or feel insufficient because their life or success doesn’t measure up to their neighbor. However, this is a deceptive delusion created by an image the world has branded as successful. Success doesn’t originate from outward measures but from the most important things entrusted to you that will eventually grow, expand, and multiply into success that will be recognized and traced back to you!

If you are reading this blog today, I want you to lay aside the weight of becoming an image that has been constructed and direct it towards becoming a Woman of Purpose who lives in purpose every day!

Well, how is this possible? Well, I am glad you asked… Here are some prayer points & tips!

1) Be Prayerful. Prayer is a strategy and a vehicle to bring you into alignment with whom the Heavenly Father has created you to be. You may be a mother, wife, working woman, or business woman, but you are YOU first.

2) Pray for Understanding. Understanding who you are, meaning (your past, your present, the future you desire), and the roots (reasons) that contribute to who you are will help you better understand yourself and why you are where you are today. If you don’t understand something about the course of your life, in prayer, ask the hard questions. Then allow God to give you a new perspective because if you are here reading this post, you are indeed “A Woman of Purpose.” You may not like all the things you discover in the process of prayer, sitting in silence, and receiving your answers, but beautiful, it is the truth that will set you free!

3) Pray for the Unique You to arise. That version of you before past and present events influenced it. That version of you before the images, opinions, and flawed advice from others ever influenced it. Pray for that person to arise center stage so that you can SEE her, LEARN her and UNDERSTAND her because this is who you should have been before the enemy tried to strip you of your identity and give you a false one.

4) Pray for confidence. Many people have adapted to the false version of you, or have never wanted you to realize your true version, so this process may not be easy but necessary. You will need confidence to move forward and not care about the voices that will hinder the process of becoming The Woman of Purpose you were created to be.

5) Pray for strategy. Pray for the strategy to be able to become a Woman of Purpose. I will not be able to tell you that this process will be easy, but I can tell you it will be worth it, but you will need the strength and strategy of the Lord to succeed.

6) Pray for Capacity. Lastly, pray that God will increase your capacity to understand, manage, and fulfill the responsibilities He has given you as a woman who is successful!

7) Be Intentional. Be intentional every day about “Your Business.” Close your eye and ear gates to the “model woman” society and social media push, and become the Woman of Purpose YOU were created to be. To do this, it will take thoroughly examining your responsibilities, time, and life to redirect your focus on planning, preparing, and executing things that are necessary for you every day!

8) Be Consistent. A day should not go by in which you are not working through the affairs of your own life. This will leave you no time or room to gleam where the grass appears to be greener.

9) Be Productive. Results are apparent when there is productivity. You should see the fruit of your labor, even when you may feel discouraged. Feelings are emotions, and they are often unreliable, so even if it doesn’t feel like you are winning and gaining ground, you most likely are.

10) Be Careful. Be patient, kind, and love yourself through the process Beautiful! Treat yourself with the utmost class and respect, even if others around you don’t, because the season is changing and they will have to recognize that you are, indeed, “A Woman of Purpose”!

I look forward to seeing you show up!
